Weddings and Love on my mind...ahhhh

Happy Monday all...now come on, wipe those sleepies out of your eyes and smile for the new week can be a wonderful one!! Just wait n see :)
Yes..okay I'm sleepy too...had a busy weekend, a fun one and productive one, but busy and not nearly enough of the downtime I badly need...anyhow ONWARD to charge into the new week!! :)
P.S. Started writing this in the a.m. but had trouble with my computer so it's actually now Monday night! lol Woops!

And now for the "love" part of my post...excited to share with you my new love...of a shop that is! lol
It's been in the planning stages for a long time (as those who know me well know VERY well!!) BUT here is my new shop!!!

You can check out the first 3 things I have listed, so far...much more to follow very soon :) Just click on the etsy mini I have posted in my sidebar and it will take you right to the shop :)
I have loved every bit of my FirstLove shop, all the dear customers and even friends I have been blessed to meet thru it but it had too many ties to the past and I thought a fresh start was more than necessary. I have always leaned more in the bridal genre and now I feel like I've been "set free" to let it all out. I've been working with a mentor/adviser who is getting me on my feet and helping me to guide the business into an actual business and I am sooo grateful for his time and effort (not to mention patience!!)
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all my dear friends who have (bravely) stuck by me throughout this journey...the wondering if I should take the leap or just stay where I am, the fear of starting over at nothing after all the hard work of establishing the former shop...insecurities creeping in (what if noone "gets" the esthetic I'm trying to convey??)...really it had to come time for the leap....and I'm really excited, grateful, happy and ready to run forward into my future!! Yay!!

Never gonna get over it...

I'm inconsolable....there will be no cheering me up....
after falling madly and dreamily head over heels in love....sigh...here is the subject of my undying affection~~

Chloe, oh dear Chloe, why have you made the most perfect ideal shoe-of-my-dreams and then crushed me with the unachievable price?? I know and do wholeheartedly believe they are worth every dime...but sadly this mama can't give it all to own such loveliness, sooo...sadly my love must go on unrequitted....sad.

Dreamy loft space conversion that's the home of Free People's creative director who is apparently as amazingly talented with interiors as she is with clothing. The bathroom space with the lacey white curtains gets me every time!!xx

A peek at some new things!

Quick post...
busy weekend filled with work, housecleaning from sink overflowing and garbage disposal breaking, babysitting a sweet little one, along with the entertaining of my son, errands and catching up with emails....annnnnd in a few hours it will be Monday! eeek!! Thought weekends were supposed to be relaxing lolol

Mind you, I'm not complaining...oh yes and we did manage to sneak in a little walking around the Galleria Mall, which was fun and inspiring with all the pretty clothes to drool over :)

Now I just wanted to share some details of one of a couple of new things I'm just finishing up...hope you like.

Now I realize the lighting in these pics is all over the place...they were shot at seperate times, sorry.
So, the final detail of beading the straps on the one dress will be taking place today and then have to shoot photos, of that and a capelet, purse and collar which was supposed to take place this weekend but oh well...now is what matters, right?? :)
And lastly, here is a new dress I wore yesterday (Sunday) to church and then didn't want to take it off!!

It was so pretty and twirly but with the bit of tough in the black color...wore it with my new Guess black lace kitten heel pumps which gave the outfit a bit of retro look. Sparkley bracelet from Forever 21 and some Swarovski pink crystal earrings which were a present from my auntie a couple years ago and voila...the perfect outfit to go to church, out to eat and babysit and color in!! lol
In the background you can see my leather Ikea sofa with pillows made by yours truly...the leopard one is esp. dear to me cause it was made out of a scrap of fabric that was my late sweet Grams...I think she had made a coat out of the rest...it's the most amazing faux fur and they just do NOT make fabric like that anymore. It feels like real fur, I kid you not!
Well ta-ta...have a lovely day and dress fancy just because....it's fun!!

A New Beginning....

New beginnings can be sometimes scary...sometimes nervewracking with all the uncertainty...but many times if we let go of all of our expectations and fears new beginnings can be EXCITING!! Now is such a time...a time to start new with a fresh perspective. A re-birth of sorts, without getting all deep and philosophical! lol I'm really excited to be back at blogging and the only way I could think of starting the "new life" was to wipe the old one away and start with the "blank page"....ahhhhh all the fresh white clean cyber blog space to do with as I please!!! Okay...I see Im getting just a TAD carried away! lol But then again...this being MY blog and all so I can talk about anything I please (he he...power!) I HAVE to do a little happy dance, er rather a BIG happy dance for my boys, the Boston Bruins, spectacularly winning the Stanley Cup!!! Yes, hello my name is Bethany and I'm a Hockey Addict!! he he :)
Sooo amazingly sweet...I cannot even say how thrilled I am for them!! Esp. my man Mr Tim Thomas....ahhhh love him!! Love all the Bruins, but most especially Mr Thomas :) Talent beyond.....
K, I have gotten THAT out of my system!! Now onto what the point or main objective of this now re-born blog of mine...yes, I do have an actual point! :) I am hoping to share, with whomever happens to come by, lots of loveliness I happen to find, photography, musings on my work, life, family and the many goings on with the creative process of work in my tiny studio. BTW do you (whomever "you" reading this happens to be)like the new banner?? It was designed by the uber-talented Winchester Lambourne. I love, love, love her work and no matter what I've asked in my spastic non-tech blabbing on and on she just GETS it everytime :) Check out her shop...you won't be disappointed. Have a new shop in the works and as the day job permits I have been working like a little busy bee finishing up some new things to stock it...it's just about to open and I'm sooo excited! Can't wait!!!! Love to you all...next post will be full of yummy eye candy, I promise! After all tho I'm a Bruins Loving girl I'm still very much a girly-girl and I need to have me some pretty all the time :) Love you all~~~Big smooches XXXXX
